We exhibited at IMTS 2026.

Tokoshié exhibited at IMTS 2026, one of the world’s largest manufacturing technology trade shows, held in Chicago from September 14–19, 2026. We participated as one of 10 companies selected to exhibit at the JETRO Japan Pavilion.

Throughout the event, we demonstrated Ignite0, our AI 3D CAD platform, to manufacturing and robotics professionals from around the world. The show gave us a valuable opportunity to explore the potential for Ignite0 in global markets, particularly North America.

Strong Interest in AI × 3D CAD

One of the clearest takeaways from IMTS was the strong interest in AI × 3D CAD.

Many visitors stopped by our booth because AI-powered design was already a topic they were actively exploring. Their reactions reinforced our view that interest in applying AI to engineering and design is growing rapidly.

We also saw strong interest in Ignite0’s approach to design intent. Rather than simply generating 3D geometry, Ignite0 is designed to capture the objectives, constraints, and reasoning behind a design. Many visitors responded with comments such as, “I’d like to try it” and “I want to show this to our engineers.”

We also received detailed questions about how Ignite0 differs from other AI CAD solutions, as well as security and deployment requirements for enterprise use. These conversations gave us valuable firsthand insight into the needs of the North American market.

Three Key Themes We Heard at IMTS

Three aspects of Ignite0 drew particular interest throughout the event.

1. An Approach Built Around Design Intent

Visitors showed strong interest in Ignite0’s ability to work with not only geometry, but also the objectives, constraints, and reasoning behind a design. We also had valuable discussions about how AI can help capture tacit engineering knowledge and make it explicit and reusable.

2. Complementing Existing CAD Systems

Ignite0 is designed to complement existing CAD workflows rather than replace them. The ability to introduce AI while continuing to use established CAD tools and workflows was well received by many visitors.

3. Local and On-Premises Deployment

Security is a critical consideration for manufacturers handling sensitive design data and intellectual property. We received many questions about Ignite0’s flexibility to support different security requirements, including local and on-premises deployment.

Visitors to Our Booth

During IMTS, Takashi Nakagawa, Chief Executive Director of JETRO Chicago, and Yuichi Oba, Consul General of Japan in Chicago, visited the Tokoshié booth.

We had the opportunity to introduce Ignite0 to Consul General Oba and discuss the role of AI in manufacturing, as well as the growing importance of capturing tacit knowledge and making it explicit in a rapidly changing industry.

What’s Next in North America

IMTS also led to conversations around potential deployments and future collaboration, creating new opportunities for our expansion in North America.

Most importantly, we were able to hear direct market feedback on three areas at the core of Ignite0: design intent, integration with existing CAD workflows, and secure deployment environments.

The event was also a valuable experience for the interns who supported our booth, giving them the opportunity to see firsthand how the global manufacturing industry is responding to AI-powered design.

We will use the feedback and connections from IMTS to further develop Ignite0, pursue new PoCs and partnerships, and expand our presence in North America.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth, to JETRO for supporting our participation, and to the interns who helped make the event a success.
